"My wife and I are both Emergency Nurses. We met at the start of the COVID pandemic in 2020. We literally collided in the corridor at work, and were instantly drawn to each other.
We had both previously been with men, so there was a period of time with us both trying to navigate the confusion of falling in love with a girl.
Once overcoming this challenge, we were faced with the death of my Mum (my favourite person on this earth).
We continued to love and flourish through the ups and downs of life, and created a beautiful life together in Wollongong on the beach.
From the minute we met, we have been inseparable. I love absolutely everything about my wife (even the parts which at times can be frustrating). She is kind, fiercely loyal, outrageously strong and undeniably beautiful."

PEN·LIV Real Bride Nina & John

"John and I met at Xfinity Live in South Philadelphia. We kept staring at each other from across the bar, and we couldn't stop! He finally got the guts to come over to me, and we realized we had several mutual friends from the city. We also realized that we both went to Temple University. Our first kiss was electric! He was a jokester, but I was able to keep up with him! I soon got to see his softer, more loving side and his undying love for his family. We both come from Italian families, and when we met each other's families for the first time, it just felt so right! We spent seven  years together before John popped the question at the New Year's Day parade in front of City Hall! We DJ for a New Year's Brigade, 'The Jacks.' Our engagement was on the news! And The Jacks won first place!!! Such a special day. Fourteen months later, we made the easiest decision of our lives in our beautiful parish Church St. Monica's to say, 'I DO!'"

PEN·LIV Real Bride Joelien & Tristan

"My husband and I are high school sweethearts and met when we were only 15 years old. He was in Pretoria Boys High School with my cousin who I went with to one of their school concerts, that is where my husband saw me for the first time. He immediately went around to all his friends and asked if anyone knew me and had my number. Eventually he got my number and messaged me the very next day. We started out as friends and spoke to each other as much as we possibly could. When he finally worked up the courage to ask me out on a date, he took me to a 3D movie. Naturally, as a woman that knows what she wants and knows when she sees something good, I tried to kiss him with our 3D glasses on… as you can imagine, that didn’t work out all too well, but it made us laugh for hours afterward. I knew that same night at the young age of 15 that this is the man I want to marry. He made me feel special and adored, he made me laugh until my cheeks hurt and listened to me intently and never took his eyes off me. We dated all through high school seeing each other on weekends whenever it was possible. At the age of 20, we moved in together and after being together for 10 years, he proposed to me in London in front of a massive crowd. That was the best day of my life up until we got married a year later on 28 September 2024."
