"It was very important to us to have a small, intimate wedding (35 people). We felt it would be more special to have our families be able to bond as well as see us with no distractions. It may not be the norm, but a small ceremony and dinner was just perfect for us."
Advice to other brides?
"I 100% thought I would be the bridezilla everyone complains about! Whenever something didn’t go as planned, I kept telling myself that no one else knows it’s wrong. No one will know if your cake isn’t the color you wanted or if your flowers aren’t the same as what’s on your Pinterest board. NO ONE KNOWS. I also kept asking myself, why I was there and what the day was actually about? I’m getting married to the love of my life, why should I be stressed over something that isn’t going to stop me from being a wife. Just breathe, I promise it will be ok."
