PEN·LIV Real Bride: Madeline & Tyler

The Love Story: 

Madi and Tyler grew up together in Tampa, Florida and attended school together. They remained friends all those years, but lost touch when Madi's family moved to Miami in 2010. In 2016, they reconnected over social media. At the time, Tyler was living in NYC and had just graduated from FSU. Madi was a senior in college at UCF. Their first date was in Tampa, FL when Tyler was in town for the FSU vs USF game. They went to dinner, and from that moment on, they have been inseparable. The following months consisted of catching flights and meeting up any chance they could (usually following the FSU football schedule) until Madi decided to move to NYC with Tyler.

Only three months after moving to NYC, Tyler got a promotion and they moved to Philadelphia, PA where they spent three years and got their dog, Winston! In 2020, they moved to Boston, and this past summer, Madi and Tyler bought their very first home together. After becoming homeowners, they took a celebratory trip to Cape Cod for the 4th of July, where Tyler *finally* proposed! The past 8 years have been an amazing adventure filled with lots of love, laughter and unforgettable moments. They wanted to share their love for Cape Cod with all their friends and family with a wedding on Pleasant Bay at Wequassett Resort.

Advice to other brides?: 

"Don’t sweat the small stuff. I spent the whole week stressing about the weather—I even paid an Etsy witch $17 for good weather (no regrets). And yes, it did rain during our cocktail hour. But honestly? I was so happy the entire day, it could’ve poured all night and I wouldn’t have cared. The little things truly fade, and all you’re left with is love and joy."
